Waiting for a train in a small town in France

Okay, so about a year and a half ago, my sister and I travelled Europe for about a month, unleashing the Weaver way on countless unsuspecting Europeans.

While there, we saw the Monet gardens, from which he painted many of his floral landscapes and japanese bridges. Beautiful.

Afterward, we were forced to wait about 2 hours or so for a train heading back to Paris. We took a bus to the train, to show how far out these gardens are.

I vowed to my sister that I would write a song by this title, so, without further adue, I give you the brand new lyrics (19 months later) to "Waiting for a Train in a Small Town in France."

verse 1
Waiting for a train
Kind of wish there was rain
To complete the aroma
And send me to coma

Had a nice day
In the garden played
Just some quiet time
In my sister chimes

let's a cup of tea
have one, it's on me
way to pass the hour
thinking 'bout the flowers

colors so alive
in Monet's private lives

genius he created
gratitude belated
place us in the mindset
space before some hindsight

waiting here in France
for the train to take it's stance

verse 2

Kind of cold outside
Wouldn't mind a ride
Cabs don't seem to care
Too large of a fare

Hate to have to wait
Café hangs like bait

Make the best of tea
At least it's you n' me
Minutes roll along
I'll soon make this a song

Let us shop around
Something to be found
Rather, let's stay here
Recall Monet's years

genius he created
gratitude belated
place us in the mindset
space before some hindsight

waiting here in France
for the train to take it's stance

bridge

people bustle 'bout
children scream n' shout
running forth and back,
peering down the track

wanting to return
Paris waits to burn
Images in mind
Gothically defined

Monet saw in earth
What Paris shows in girth
Taken from the ground
Erected and now bound

Temples to keep safe
Folk's own hope and faith
Just as gardens hold
Rains and soil's soul

Verse 3

Waiting for the train
Wouldn't mind some rain
To complete the feeling
Of afternoon time sealing

Have a lovely night
Paris soon in sight
Just some quiet time
Before the bells should chime

Let's a glass of wine
Grapes of land divine
way to pass the hours
Viewing modern flowers

A city so alive
in Paris's private lives

genius now created
gratitude now slated
pacing in the mindset
show the world some hindsight

standing here in France
and the train has taken stance

Here are some of the things I've actually said {outloud} within the recent week.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry; I'm going to have to ask you to put your shoes back on."

"You can't take that outside. (Why?) Because it's illegal. (What?) You can't take that outside."

"Well, call me when that pain clears up."

"Hey - that guy who bit me hasn't been here in awhile."

"Have to go pee-pees? Huh? Come on, go pee-pees. Good boy."

"It's a lovely day for a stroll on the surface of the SUN."

"Does anyone know if guests are allowed to change a diaper in the lobby? (Uhh - normally, no. But right now, it's okay.) Copy that."

"I drove your car home cause she was a little drunk and wasn't feeling well and I brought the karaoke equipment here to be picked up. When she comes out of the bathroom, tell her whatever makes the most sense. See you later."

"No, the eyeballs are all fake. Except for the ones right over there."

"I tried that woodpecker."

"Way I figure it, Hitler really just wanted to control the entertainment industry."

"The last time I was here I don't remember leaving."

"Will. Will's a good name. (for a cat)"

"That might go through your floor if it falls over. (yes, and take whatever appendage in between them along with it.)"

"Ooh - nice shot. Did you get any others? (Oh, yeah a few --)
Aww, I'm sorry - I'm going to have to ask you to delete those."

And, finally -

"The first time I wore this shirt, I was just being real gay. The second time I wore it here, I was being Jesus; and now, the third time I'm wearing it, I'm Superman. You figure it out."

Ta-ta, foolks!

I've waited so long to begin this - and yet I have plenty to talk about ...

I think I'll open the shenanigans with a favourite quote of mine. I believe you all could easily feel where it's coming from. If you can guess the originator, I owe you five dollars.

"I have learned that no matter how successful or proficient or accomplished I might think I am, I am always going to make mistakes.
I will always have to face some difficulties. I am always going to have to deal with the possibility of failure, and I will always be able to utilize these things in my work.
So I am no longer afraid of becoming lost; because the journey back always reveals to me something new about my life and my own humanity."
